One of the better ways of seeing the problem of piracy is to watch the Torrent scene. We spent some time watching and taking results from a few of the illegally downloadable PC games out there. The results contained a wealth of information, so feel free to browse through the links below.

It's hard to know the extent of full illegal download numbers, because there are a number of reasons why a person may stop downloading before completion. This means the results should be considered over a period of time, and we can then reach some general conclusions. As you look and draw your own conclusions from the results, please be sure to note some of the following:
• The statistics are from one download. Normally only one torrent is significantly higher than the others, and this is the one results are gathered from.
• The results are taken at four intervals each day: at 1am, 10am, 2pm and 8pm (All GMT).
• Results can fluctuate, but are normally very stable and do not alter wildly. However, it has been noted from time to time that Seed and Peer figures will drop and rise.
• Problems with the P2P networks do occur. At these times torrents can stagnate or fluctuate, so results are less accurate than normal.
• Torrents, when active, are given a short amount of time to settle, before readings are taken.
• No, we do not download any of the games! All files are deleted after results are taken!
